Qube Learning are working in partnership with The Princes Trust on a new Health Care Sector project for 16-30 year olds. This project is designed to help young people into any role within the sector.

This specific position has been recognised as a opportunity that fits in with the locations and roles we currently working with.

If you are aged 16-30 years old and apply for this fantastic opportunity, you will automatically be invited onto the programme. You will receive tailored support and guidance to help you in your application. After receiving your application we will contact you to book you in for a short induction, explain more about the programme & role and how we can help you!

The successful candidate will complete the Adult Care Worker Level 3 qualification lasting 15 months, Maths & English Functional skills included if needed.

During your apprenticeship you will have a dedicated Skills Tutor, who will make regular appointments virtually or face to face, to support you throughout your qualification.

Your apprenticeship will be completed 100% at the workplace.

You will be paid between £9.03 - £12.50

Role Responsibilities:
• Monitor the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
• Provide person centred care and personal care to residents in all aspects of their daily living
• Be actively involved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing, monitoring and undertaking monthly evaluations as part of Resident of the Day.
• Support residents with their medication requirements
• Support with the ordering, storage, disposal and administration of medication in accordance with the policy
• Contribute fully to team workin

Requirements

GCSE Grade C/4 or above in maths and English (or equivalent qualification) Essential - Level 2 or equivalent in care for care homes Willing to study Advanced Carers Course Experience 2 years’ experience working with the resident group Evidence of up to date training Knowledge of the Health & Safety Care Act.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Computer skills are essential
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead staff and act responsibly in the absence of the manager
  • Have a positive attitude to both supporting and nurturing residents and staff
  • Able to be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities
