Why We Need You

Duties will include:

  • Department Administration, including minute taking and producing documentation to organisations standards
  • Updating and responsible for the internal communication platform updates. 
  • Answering phone and taking messages
  • Deal with routine enquiries from the public, suppliers and staff
  • Receive and communicate messages
  • Arrange and minute meetings, alongside more traditional roles such as: managing diaries, filing, post, ordering stationery and liaison with internal and external contacts
  • Look after the IT Departments intranet page keeping relevant information up to date
  • Maintain records
  • Lead on stock control
  • Responsible for monitoring and keeping up to date records on the database for mobile phones
  • Maintaining calendars for Director of IT and Operations Manager
  • Lead and responsible for ordering of Stock
  • Good numeracy and English skills are required for this post
  • Work with due regard to health & safety requirements
  • To provide any other customer service and support duties as required by their line manager

  • Must have 4 GCSEs Grade C/4 or above (including English Language) or equivalent Level 2 qualification


  • Stage 3 qualification in Word Processing (eg OCR, ECDL or similar)
  • Further Stage 3 qualifications in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Maths GCSE Grade C/4  or above or Level 2 qualification.
  • Experience within an office environment is desirable
  • Proficient in Windows based software including Word/Excel/outlook
  • Experience of using office 365
  • Experience of using and maintaining databases
  • Knowledge of intranets
  • Good communication skills
  • Confident in dealing with internal/external customer queries
  • Ability to prioritise work
  • Ability to complete work to deadlines
  • Ability to work as part of a team and undertake a range of tasks within the department
