  • Monday to Friday
  • 9.30am till 6.00pm

As the Facilities & Maintenance Apprentice you will liaise closely with both our retail and office teams across the network, supporting across a variety of activities and requests.  The Apprenticeship programme will offer the foundations in the field, complimented by tailored F&M studies. You will support with administration for the function including the management of purchase orders and will help to coordinate works, gaining exposure to working with vendors and third parties.  The role will offer experience in assisting store projects and minor works in Head Office.

FM Coordination:

  • Assist with the coordination between Stores, Security providers and Contractors for works across our stores and Head Office
  • Book security schedules in advance of pre-planned maintenance
  • Follow through on Pre Planned Maintenance Projects
  • Meticulously review consumable invoices/expenditure for a variety of services
  • Support the F&M Manager in obtaining & reviewing quotes for remedial works
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach, liaising with Store Management to prevent and rectify issues impacting trade
  • React in a timely manager to any day-to-day requests
  • Build relationships with external contractors and Store Manager community to enable smooth communication
  • Regularly conduct site visits & FM walk throughs with Operations Managers/Store Managers
  • Support with conducting & reviewing KPI audits with service providers
  • Assist with procurement and contract management

Finance/Budget Support:

  • Frequent creation of purchases orders for the UK, Ireland & South Africa region
  • Review of workflow processes, ensuring good receipts are completed in line wit

Requirements

There are no essential qualifications needed however previous experience in administration within an FM environment is preferred.

  • Previous administration experience within an FM environment,
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Agility - there may be time when you will need to be on call out of hours.
  • Ability to prioritise a varying workload and to work off own initiative.
  • A team player who enjoys working in a vibrant and multicultural environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with and ability to establish professional working relationships with both internal and external contacts.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to deliver to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal and written.
