Posted:

  • Being the first point of contact, answering incoming telephone calls & emails
  • Reviewing lettings, waiting list (supported housing) and voids
  • Requesting nominations for applications in order to let properties to new tenants
  • Supporting the Housing Service Manager and Property Service Manager with administrative duties such as minute taking, filing, scanning
  • Reporting any suspicions of safeguarding issues relating to customers to in line with the relevant policy
  • Preparation, submission & following up of housing benefit claims for new & existing tenants
  • Submitting notifications to stop housing benefit claims in respect of former tenants
  • Monitoring of housing benefit arrears/credit balances and taking necessary actions to resolve
  • Support intensive housing management programme, including dealing with council tax queries and managing utility invoices
  • Posting housing benefit, service charge receipts and other payments onto tenants’ accounts
  • Raising monthly invoices to Housing Associations for rent and other charges
  • Monitoring and posting of Landlord charges, including rent and insurance invoices
  • Deputising for members of the property team, including coordinating repairs & maintenance tasks and other supplier invoices
  • Other related general admin team support

Requirements

GCSE's at grades A*-C / 9-4 (or equivalent) in maths and English

  • Minimum two years’ experience of working in a financial or administrative position
  • Diligence and attention to financial detail
  • Excellent communication skills, with a confident and persuasive telephone manner
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills
  • Highly computer literate, including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • A confident, conscientious self-starter with a strong work ethic, personable character, and the capability to build good working relationships with tenants and colleagues.
  • Strong administration experience
  • A current Basic DBS Check
  • IT literate, experienced in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Available for an immediate start
