Why We Need You

We will provide opportunities to develop in all areas of HR, including administration and processes, recruitment and learning & development through day-to-day activities and specific project work. As part of the role the successful candidate will complete their HR apprenticeship based here at Grantley Hall, with the support of our external provider. Upon completion, the successful candidate will then be eligible to apply for CIPD membership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the face of the HR team for new starters
  • Support the team to answer HR queries
  • Provide HR administration for the employee lifecycle
  • Support the team with recruitment and talent activities
  • Support the team with learning and development activities
  • Enhance HR communication throughout the hotel
  • Ensure up to date communication of employee benefits
  • Support to drive employee engagement
  • Ensure accurate information is held to support with reporting and analysing
  • Actively drive process improvements within the HR team and throughout the hotel

As part of your contract of employment completion of the Apprenticeship Training Programme forms part of your duties as well as helping your personal and professional development; the requirements to complete the programme are as follows: 

  • Attend and be punctual for all induction sessions
  • Attend and be punctual for all lessons with regards to your apprenticeship programme
  • Complete all required assignments with regards to your apprenticeship by the required timeline
  • Build up your portfolio of evidence on-going during your apprenticeship programme
  • Access support from your tutor/assessor as and  when required 
  • Access support from your manager with regards to evidence requirements or&nb

Must have at least GCSEs in English and maths at grade C/4 or above.

Desirable to have achieved an apprenticeship in either Business, Recruitment, Retail or Customer Service.

Desirable to have achieved a Level 2 and or 3 BTech in Business

Preferably have 12 months work experience in an office based or customer focussed environment. 

Other relevant qualifications will be considered including degrees.

Other work experiences will be considered.

  • Confident, self motivated and present a professional image in all circumstances
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • A high level of IT proficiency
  • The ability to demonstrate a strong customer service ethos and the ability to deliver consistently high levels of service delivery
  • Previous experience in 5* hotels is desirable
