Overview:
Interested in a career in primary care but not sure where to start? This programme is what you need! Health and social care is one of the largest sectors in the UK, and is key when it comes to us staying healthy. Primary care is the first port of call for most patients, and there’s loads of recognisable roles that are key to ensuring people get the help they need. This programme will showcase what these roles involve, along with giving you the opportunity to understand what a career in primary care could mean for you.
What’s Included:
This programme will cover everything from an introduction to the distinct areas of care to a closer look at distinct roles, responsibilities, and opportunities that can be found in various areas like GPs, nursing, allied health professions, and non-clinical roles. You’ll complete a series of quizzes and interactive activities to help build your understanding of primary care, and you’ll even have the chance to speak to industry experts along the way!
Introduction to Primary Care
We’re all a little familiar with health and social care, even if we’re a little hazy on some of the finer details or roles that are involved. This module will make it all a lot easier to understand - we’ll cover what primary care is, along with an overview of the roles, skills and values involved, too, so that you know exactly how it works!
