Overview

During this free two-week virtual experience programme, you will meet a range of NHS Support Services from the wider healthcare team, who will give you an overview of their experiences within the industry, with opportunities for Q&A.

You will also learn about some of the key roles across the different functions from Administration, Estate Services, Clinical Support Staff, Corporate Services as well as Domestic and Support services.

The programme will also include a vital employability skills module to help you think about entering the world of work and a ‘Getting Career Ready with the NHS’ module, which will encourage you to think about your values, and how they align with the NHS. There will also be a range of quizzes and meaningful activities to spark your interest in Support Services, and give you a further insight into what it really means to become an employee of the NHS.

The virtual work experience programme involves around 10 hours of activity. You can complete the work over 2 weeks, meaning you can fit it around your schedule (whether that be school or college).
