Overview

This Virtual Work Experience helps you get to know your own strengths and understand why this matters for work and life. You'll find out how to tell a strength apart from a skill, hear Barclays colleagues talk about identifying their own skills, and practise key abilities like listening and problem-solving. You'll then assess your own strengths and skills before testing your understanding in a short quiz. By the end, you'll have a clearer sense of what you're good at and how it could shape your future choices.

What’s Included

Through this Virtual Work Experience, you will explore key concepts, hear real insights from Barclays, and build skills that will help you understand your own strengths. You'll take part in interactive content, a webinar, and a quiz to check your understanding.

This lesson introduces the idea of personal strengths and how they differ from skills. You'll find out why recognising your own strengths matters, both for everyday life and for thinking ahead to future study and work.

Aqsa Saleemi, Year 12 Student

Thank you for all your time and effort. The program was by far the best experience I’ve had virtually compared to other virtual experiences I’ve done. I liked the layout and the interactive activities, and I learnt a lot I didn’t know. I would definitely recommend this program to others; it was a great experience I would love to do it all again.
