Meet the academic

Duncan Sleightholme
Duncan Sleightholme is the programme leader for the Multimedia Journalism and Multimedia Sports Journalism degrees at Bournemouth University. He’s an award-winning journalist who’s worked for BBC, ITV and GB News. Before joining Bournemouth University, Duncan spent more than two decades as a television news reporter. He’s reported from India, Malawi, Norway and the US, but much of his work has been based in the South West of England covering some of the region’s biggest stories. He’s twice been named Royal Television Society (Devon & Cornwall) Reporter of the Year, as well as receiving an RTS Craft Award for Scriptwriting.
